Akim Camara

Andre Rieu had the Tuxedo made especially for 3 year old Akim. Together, at the Roda Stadium they played before 18,000 admiring people.

Berlin - Mozart started at the age of four. Akim Camara was only two when he got his first violin instruction at the school of Music, Marzahn Hellersdorf. Today the miracle child is five years old and the youngest student of the college of music "Hanns Eisler". He gave his first concert while still in diapers.

Birgit Thiele still remembers exactly how Akim stood before her with his plastic toy violin in May 2003. This experience took the violin teacher's breath away. Akim still could not speak correctly however; he knew the names of all the orchestral instruments. In addition to that, he had a good ear for music. Birgit Thiele instructed the small boy twice a week for 45 minutes each lesson. Akim participated with enthusiasm and learned unbelievably fast. In December of that year, the two year old played with the school of music at the Christmas-Concert "Schneefloeckchen, Weissbroeckchen"

Nevertheless Akim is a normal little boy who goes to pre-school and likes to play and likes his toy bears and elephants. However, what he loves to play most is his violin or the piano, which he learns as a second instrument. Exactly like young Mozart at that time.

Thermal Soundwaves offers entertainment, culture, politics, travel tips, health and anything else that is essential to living well.

2) How long has the show been on the air?

Thermal Soundwaves has been on the air for 13 years and still going strong.

3) What do you want your listeners to get out of every show?

We want listeners to get information, fun, good music, exposure to art from cities & countries outside of their home market, and a feeling that we are all friends having the same experience simultaneously even though we are not in the same space physically. Lastly, a good time they will tell others about.

4) I know the show travels. Where have you been lately?

The show has recently visited Hollywood, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, and St.Louis.

5) What inspired this last mixtape?

"How to get on the radio Vol 2" was inspired from many listeners, producers, or artist who truly ask us that question all the time. We decided to put together an entertaining "self help" mixtape to outline the answer to that very question. You can expect much more in this series. "Odd Couple" was sparked in part from our varying personalities and how they meld together. We also wanted to put together some music from a time where music was just pure old fun and women could vibe to.

6) What's next for Thermal Soundwaves?

Thermal Soundwaves is currently positioning itself to be a recognizable entity across viral and visual media outlets whether; tv, radio, internet, or v.o.d you will see it everywhere.

Third Graders Plotted To Attack Teacher!

Ok, this is absolute insanity. As a parent I would not imagine receiving THAT phone call. I could however imagine what my parents would have done had they been the ones to get the call!! What is going on???????? And kudos to "Texas Teacher" for her comment. (see below)
I think I need to go pray! :-) People, do the world a favor and hug your (or any) child today!

The Associated PressPublished on: 04/01/08 Waycross, Ga.

-- A group of third-graders plotted to attack their teacher, bringing a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape and other items for the job and assigning children tasks including covering the windows and cleaning up afterward, police said Tuesday.
The plot by as many as nine boys and girls at Center Elementary School in south Georgia was a serious threat, Waycross Police Chief Tony Tanner said Tuesday.

"We did not hear anybody say they intended to kill her, but could they have accidentally killed her? Absolutely," Tanner said. "We feel like if they weren't interrupted, there would have been an attempt. Would they have been successful? We don't know."

The children, ages 8 and 9, were apparently mad at the teacher because she had scolded one of them for standing on a chair, Tanner said.
They could be expelled, but a prosecutor said they are too young to be charged with a crime under Georgia law.

Tanner said school officials alerted police Friday after a pupil tipped off a teacher that a girl had brought a weapon to school.

Police seized a broken steak knife, handcuffs, duct tape, electrical and transparent tape, ribbons and a crystal paperweight from the students, who apparently intended to use them against the teacher, Tanner said.

The alleged target is a veteran educator who teaches third-grade students with a range of learning disabilities, including attention deficit disorder, delayed development and hyperactivity, friends and parents said.

Tanner said the scheme involved a division of roles. One child's job was to cover windows so no one could see outside, he said. Another was supposed to clean up after the attack.
"We estimate between six to nine students were involved. ... We're not sure at this point in the investigation how many of the students actually knew the intent was to hurt the teacher," Tanner said.

The parents of the students have cooperated with investigators, who aren't allowed to question the children without their parents' or guardians' consent, he said. Authorities have withheld the children's names.

Martin, told The Florida Times-Union of Jacksonville, Fla., that administrators would follow school system policy and state law in disciplining the students.

"From what I understand, they were considered pretty good kids," Martin said. "But we have to take this seriously, whether they were serious or not about carrying this through, and that's what we did."

As an educator myself and a parent I feel it is our responsiblility to be accountable for our children(s) actions. All this time out and counting to 10 isn't the answer. The children today doesn't respect authority. They feel as if they are the exception to the rules. Society have given these kids so many rights that most parents feel like their hands are tied. I've always told my son if you call CPS make sure they bring you something to wear because how you came into this world is how you will leave the CPS agency. We definitley need to stop the balming game and start taking charge of our children. Let's wake up America and stop upholding their wrong doings.

Currently you can see Jai Reed performing on the Bobby Jone’s Gospel Hour, the New Orleans Jazz Festival and you can find the video for his single “Anointed Me” playing on video show nationally.
The New Orleans’s native is referred to by many as “The Messenger” and has one of the most profound voices of this time. His voice transcends ethnicity and class, with a style and sincerity in delivery that cuts across geographic boundaries.
Al Hobbs, Chairman of the Gospel Announcer’s Guild / Executive Director of the Gospel Music Workshop Of America has this to say about Jai Reed, "We live in a season when the next generations of singers are emerging all across the gospel music landscape. Most are good, many are excellent and if you keep listening, every now and then one comes along that is not just a singer but an artist. Today that artist is Jai Reed”. He goes on to say, “One listen to his debut album and you'll be in awe of his amazing vocal capabilities; his fresh styling, his musical arrangements but, most of all you'll experience the in dwelling of the holy spirit as each song reveals the depth of his love for the king of kings. Jai Reed sings and the kingdom is blessed!"
Jai began sharing his voice with friends and family at the tender age of six. By the time he was a teenager, Jai became a member of the group Endurance; along with group members William Maxwell, Bryon Pierce (Men of Standard), Edward West (Collage) and the late Michael Robinson. He has toured with two outstanding stage plays: Michael Matthew’s production of “Mama I’m Sorry” and Tyler Perry’s “I Know I’ve Been Changed”.
