Jayneoni Moore Foundation Hosts The Readalicious Book Bash!

READALICIOUS BOOK Campaign Has Reading In The Bag!

The Readalicious Campaign is designed to get children excited about reading and is dedicated to combating the scarcity of books in elementary schools in poverty stricken areas.
The Readalicious Bag-O-Books Campaign was created by Jayneoni Moore of The Jayneoni Moore Foundation in partnership with Read Across America and The California Teachers Association.

The campaign will reach over 1,000 children this spring alone. Each child will be given a school bag bursting with books, brightly colored book marks and book plates for their own personal libraries. The objective is to raise awareness of the importance of child reading at an early age, and to encourage parents to read with their children. Giving books to children living in poverty takes us one step closer to ending the global spread of illiteracy. The number one cause of low reading levels amongst children living in poverty is not having access to books because their parents and schools can't afford them. This is why we plan to visit elementary schools located in areas hardest hit by poverty and that have the lowest reading levels.
"I am beyond thrilled to kick-off Readalicious. Reading is a journey and a joy and should not be available based on social or economic levels. Every child deserves the right to read. Thru the
Readalicious Campaign and with the support of our generous sponsors we hope to get children excited and energized about reading and being Readalicious!", says Jayneoni.
Jayneoni Moore has been chosen as an honorary chair by The California Teachers Association for the Read Across America Day

The Readalicious book bags will be available for purchase in children boutiques and children book stores retailing for $35. For this price we are able to give 5 disadvantaged children new books.

On Saturday, March 1st, the Jayneoni Moore Foundation hosted a Readalicious Book Bash in LA.
